PERSONALITY,

Positive traits;;

• Devoted;; David is a type who would dedicate himself to what he does. No matter what the task, whether it be extremely academically, mentally, or physically challenging he will see to that it is finished. There are times when he pushes things to the extreme, but it's very common for him to do so in battle field.

• Honest;; Sometimes this can be considered both positive and negative trait about him. He's really an honest person, but maybe a bit too honest. It's quite unfortunate that David doesn't know how to tell white lies at certain situations. He's quite blunt also brutally honest about things and doesn't really hold back on what he thinks no matter what the situation.

• Intelligent;; Well, he's not really a muscle bound brute you know. Taking after his father who was a retired Drill Sergeant, David is rather a quick learner he can learn most of the subjects that he's thrown at without much problem.

• Respectful;; It's been rooted deep inside his head ever since he went through that hellish training to be the knight of the round. Treating others way you want to be treated. He still keeps that golden rule and values it more than other philosophies that his father taught him, and being respectful will get you far in life, no?

• Disciplined;; David is well behaved, but long time ago he really wasn't like this. He was once merely a violent child delinquent who got into several fights, but when his father took him through 'scaled down' ancient ways of Marine Corps training he became a disciplined child who later served as a proud member Britannian knights of the round.

Negative traits;;

• Quiet;; David isn’t a type who tends to speak a lot. He’s not a person who would just be friends with anyone that easily, although he’s not sociable David only speaks out on/against people when he really feels that he needs to. Usually, he bottles up his words deep inside and never says them, thus it’s hard for him to express his emotions whether he’s really happy or not.

• Oblivious;; David never had a lot of experience talking with people, so, he's not too great at reading their facial expressions. Truthfully, he's not aware of how people feels or thinks about him, and everything needs to be told to him directly face to face.

• Cold;; Although, he may not seem like one, but David is a very cold person towards people he really doesn't know. His attitude and his way of talking could obviously tell anyone that he only talks by a few words only. David has grown to be very distrustful and cautious towards others, because he’s been hunted down by bounty hunters and faced off against numerous sweet traps. This obviously makes him have hard time making friends unless they are persistent enough to keep up with this attitude.

• Stubborn;; Once he makes up his mind he never changes it back. For him it's either yes or no, there is no two way path for him.

• Cautious;; Never liking to receive help, David is very distrustful to others. Facing off against numerous ambushes and sweet traps the knight refuses to be close to other people, call it a paranoia, but a man like him who’s been fighting from all over the place is understandable. David tends to be careful of the environments that he is in, at the same time he takes his time to study them and make sure that no traps or ambushes are laid.

APPEARANCE,

David is rather tall and has an athletic structure, but it might as well be expected since he is a member of the knights of the round. His hair is grown out down to his collarbone and covers a small portion of his right eye. During work he makes sure he ties his hair back, or else it would not only cause interferences and probably cause a fatal injury during work. His hardened face of seriousness shows that he’s not really a person who doesn’t laugh a lot, but once you take a look at his eyes you’ll see something different.

The eyes show disheartened look, loneliness, and at the same time closed out from others to keep from reading his inner thoughts. Due to the fact that he has heterochromia David has two completely different colored eyes, but it is clear that he never received any injuries to the eye or got a disease that would affect his vision. It is most likely inherited, but he never mentioned it. His left eye is grey while other is very hazel brown.

As far as his clothing selections go, David doesn’t wear anything complicated or stylish. He has two different sets of clothing for both indoors and outdoors. When he was young, while going through the torturous training he received a whole set of digital pattern of Britanninan BDU (Battle dress uniform) for both winter and woodland. They are meant to keep you warm during cold seasons and blend you into the environment, and with combat boots reinforced with steel toes allow him to go through difficult terrain without much problem. On the other hand David wears a orange colored jacket, a white long sleeve shirt, a pair of leather gloves, and sneakers.

COMBAT STYLE,

A lot of David's styles are based upon grappling and countering many of the enemy's attacks instead of punching through them head on when he's on foot. Most of them involve breaking the joints and bones from the opponent to stun them on where they stand before finishing them off. When he needs to attack head on David uses a lot of knee and elbow attacks mirroring a lot of the ferocious Muay Thai moves.

His knightmare combat style is whole lot different than on foot though. He fights more in a ‘berserk’ manner, even if he isn't a type to attack head on, but with the Beowulf which was made to be the melee superiority knightmare he just punches at them head on with more aggressive maneuvers to get up close and personal in any way he possibly can. Once he is up against them it is over for the other knightmares that are not meant to fight close quarters, because the armaments that he has is easily punches into the armor.

HISTORY,

As a child David had several problems getting along with kids in kindergarten, but there’s more to this story. His childhood wasn’t as deprived as you think, and got along well with others; however, wherever he was his father was never there with him. Every time he drove home with his mother he would see some kid’s father playing catch, Frisbee, and even football to pass their time. He envied them. His father always got home late at night, and when he came home he just ate, drank, and went to sleep after his long tiring day. His jealousy formed itself into a ticking time bomb that would eventually explode in chains of violence.

Landgraf family had a few generations of proud military service towards Britannia, his father was always proud of himself training the recruits. Breaking them, shaping them, and molding them into one of the ferocious and lethal warriors in the entire planet. David never got to see his father’s work, even if he wanted to children weren’t allowed into the boot camp for several safety issues, and obviously his father never approved of his child coming to see what he was doing.

His father never spent any time with him, and unable to hold down this envious jealousy any longer he let out his anger towards a boy in daycare on his seventh birthday. The outcome came out as David being in trouble and had his mother called obviously, but it didn’t stop there. There were several problems like this, and as years progressed David became increasingly violent even if he had professional medical help. David became expelled from four different kindergarten schools this became a concern up to a point when his father retired to see what was wrong with his son after these long years.

Now, with David being home-schooled by his parents the whole family got together and decided to talk what was wrong with him. As a whole pack of family they never had a heart-to-heart talk before, and for the first time in their lives they spent hours talking about problems that’s been issued past years. The conversation went from morning till the afternoon, sitting at a one spot talking about the same thing over and over. His father acknowledged that David wanted to spend time with him, but because his son’s behavior was so twisted that he decided to take his own son through ‘scaled-down’ version of the ancient Marine Corps training.

For long twelve weeks David was trained under the guidance of his father constantly yelling at him, but for some reason he didn’t hold any grudge against him. He just went along with the program thinking that it was a way to prove himself that he was a worth to his father, but eventually those changed after a couple of weeks. David became more and more disciplined, hardened, and calm. Already at that age he had the loyal mentality of a typical US Marine would have towards his country.

During his high school years David signed up as a member of the armed Knightmare drill team. Through several long hours of practice he was able to master the system, and above others his talent at piloting the frame became well known in the school. During his senior year the emperor of Britannian empire came to school to give a speech, and the armed knightmare drill team was there performing drills in front of the emperor.

Impressed by the effort the emperor picked out the most sharpest drill member of the team and made the young man come before him. That young man was David N. Landgraf. He was asked of his name and how long he was piloting the knightmare, obviously he answered that he's been piloting it for quite a while. The emperor gave him an offer to further not only his education, but his talent as well as a seat in the knights of the round.

The door of opportunity was wide open for him. David took the offer and went to Japan's Ashford academy and graduated there with an advanced diploma, but at the same time he was trained to be a knightmare combat pilot. It wasn't long before the new seventh generation knightmare: 'Beowulf' was created, but it never took off from the prototype stage. The engineers and scientists that developed this weapon researched David's background and concluded that he was perfect candidate. When they sent a letter David gladly took on the challenge of piloting the newest knightmare.
